When I was little, I would smother everything in tomato ketchup. It is a wonder how I ever made it as a food writer really, because when I was a child, all I could probably taste was ketchup 😉 However luckily, my palette changed and I stopped using ketchup (unless it’s on chips, you can’t walk down by the seaside with a bag of chips and not have ketchup now can you?!?) so much and started to collect, yes…. collect, other sauces and condiments.
I have tried so many different types over the years but when I tried one particular brand, I knew that my quest for the perfect sauce collection, was over. Let me introduce you to Sinclair Condiments Co.
Now my loyal readers and followers on Twitter, will already know how much I love these guys condiments. But for the rest of the world, let me tell you how I became an official #CondimentJunkie.
I was originally asked to sample and review Sinclair Condiments Co. range back in February, since then I have become a stalwart of not only their products but also of their ethics. I have even started adding their ketchups and sauces into my cooking and am hoping to produce some recipes for them later this year.
My favourite (although this does change weekly!) is currently the Roasted Red Pepper Ketchup. It’s just so versatile. Whether you use it as a ketchup for dipping, a marinade or even added to other sauces. It just makes everything taste so good. The thing is, it’s not overly sweet either which makes it perfect for BBQ’s too!
I love to add a little splash of this to my homemade pasta sauce…
The ketchup gives the pasta sauce a wonderful lift and for a light summer’s lunch, just a bowl of freshly cooked spaghetti drenched in this sauce is amazing.
I’ve even started adding it as a pizza base sauce instead of my standard marinara sauce… delicious!
My name is Bexz Walker and I am PROUD to be a #CondimentJunkie!
